The murder trial of Oscar Pistorius continues this week as the Olympic athlete is cross-examined by lead prosecutor Gerrie Nel.
In the early hours of 14 February 2013, Reeva Steenkamp was shot and killed by Pistorius at his home in Pretoria. The Olympian was taken into police custody and was formally charged with the murder of his girlfriend.
Pistorius fired four shots through a locked bathroom door, hitting Ms. Steenkamp three times.
Prosecutors have charged the athlete with premeditated murder, claiming that he shot Reeva Steenkamp after an argument between the couple.
He denies premeditated murder and illegally possessing ammunition in relation to Ms. Steenkamp’s death, saying that he thought she was in the bed, and that the person in the bathroom was an intruder.
He also denies two further counts related to shooting a gun in a public restaurant in January 2013.
BBC News and Sky News will have live coverage from the court house in Pretoria every day of the trial.
Andrew Harding will be reporting from inside the courtroom for BBC News. Sky’s Special Correspondent Alex Crawford, Crime Correspondent Martin Brunt and Foreign Correspondent Emma Hurd will join Jeremy in Pretoria, with Alex reporting live from the courtroom.
During the trial a special nightly programme reviewing the day in court will run at 9.30pm on Sky News, at 10pm on Sky Sports, and at 11pm on Sky 2.
