The BBC will broadcast live coverage of Trooping the Colour today.

Huw Edwards and Clare Balding commentate on the trooping of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards to mark Her Majesty the Queen’s official birthday.

In addition to the military parade, celebrations in the monarch’s 60th anniversary of the coronation include a balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace, and a flypast by the Red Arrows

The events is held in London annually on a Saturday in June on Horse Guards Parade by St. James’s Park, and coincides with the publication of the Birthday Honours List.

Coverage begins at 10:30am on BBC One. The BBC News Channel and Sky News will also show live coverage.

BBC Two will broadcast a 90-minute highlights programme at 6.30pm
