At 6pm on 05 February 2009 Sky News will be 20 years old.

To recognise its 20 Years of Breaking News, Sky News has announced that it will release a special ’20 Years of Breaking News’ book, featuring chapters written by some of Sky News’ most experienced correspondents and presenters, including Martin Brunt, Jeremy Thompson, Kay Burley and Alex Crawford.

Sky have also set up a 20 Years microsite, looking at the biggest news stories of the last 20 years. The microsite will have news clips, in-depth reports from Sky News specialists and a comment section.

The ’20 Years of Breaking News’ book has a face value of £12.50, although it will not be offered for sale. Highlights of the book are available on www.skynews.com/20 with the full book available to download at a later date.

Head of Sky News, John Ryley, said: ?This book is a celebration. A celebration of challenging the status quo of how news is reported; a celebration of twenty years of Sky News breaking the news; and a celebration of offering the British public true choice. Above all it is a tale of enterprise, ingenuity and risk-taking?
