Al-Jazeera English launches

Al-Jazeera has today launched its new international news channel.

Al-Jazeera English, which is broadcast from four dedicated broadcast centres in Doha, Kuala Lumpur, London and Washington DC, launched at 1200 GMT.

The channel features established names such as Darren Jordon, Shiulie Ghosh, Felicity Barr and Stephen Cole presenting news bulletins as well as various programmes presented by Riz Khan, Sir David Frost and Rageh Omarr.
