Al-Jazeera International announces launch date

Al-Jazeera International today announced that it will launch at 12pm GMT on Wednesday November 15.

The inaugural broadcast will be from the channels main broadcast centre in Doha. The channel will also be broadcast from centres in Kuala Lumpur, London and Washington D.C.

The channel has been dogged by delays, reportedly due to the huge technical scale of the project.

A number of big name presenters have joined Al-Jazeera International including Darren Jordon, Shiulie Ghosh and Felicity Barr.
