Kate Silverton: I am pregnant

BBC News presenter Kate Silverton has announced she is pregnant.

Writing on twitter this morning she said:

“Now a little announcement I have to make – for those of you who have asked about the puppy there is sad news… We cannot get it….:-(

“Because we had some very unexpected – but lovely news just recently…..

“I am pregnant ;-).”

Then added: “Ooh that felt odd to announce! We gave up hope of having a biological family last year so this feels something of a minor miracle…”

Kate, who is four months pregnant, conceived the child naturally after several failed IVF attempts.

TV Newsroom would like to congratulate Kate and her husband Michael on their minor mircale – Best of luck!
