    Shame I like Sophie

Yeh Sophie’s definately one of the better presenters – I had hope they would give her the morning slot with Matthew…

I’d rather she stayed and took over all female relief duties from Martine Croxall, Karin G and the reporters (plus remember Rachel Schofield is only on 3 days a week)

Spotlight hasnt missed her much. Nathalie is excellent and with Charlotte, Rebecca etc on the Politics show I’ve been glad of the break. Sophie could try and stay in the SE as a few other ex sw / west presenters have, they could do with our help.

Sophie is an excellent presenter and regularly presents the 2-5pm slot on weekdays on the BBC News Channel and following the departure of Peter Sissons in June 2009 Sophie presents 1-7pm on saturdays as well as regularly presenting BBC One weekend bulletins. I welcome the news that Sophie will be permanently presenting on the BBC News Channel

Sophie is a first class news reader and I am a great fan of BBC news and Sophie in particular. Sophie, keep the flag flying for Devon and the very best of luck for the future to you, especially in broadcasting, and also for the new year. Met you once in “The Gallery” in Cornwall Street and offered my congratulations when you joined “News 24”. Haven’t you done well!

I hope Sophie gets the chance to stay full time on news24, she’s an excellent presenter. Insightful, clear and intelligent. And a great broadcasting voice.
