Sonja McLaughlan is a sports journalist with the BBC.
Sonja joined the BBC in 1988 as a trainee and was later a news producer at Radio Sussex.
In 1993, she moved to London to become a producer with the radio sports department and two years later she became BBC Radio’s rugby union producer.
After a six month break, Sonja rejoined the BBC in 1998 as a presenter on Radio 5 Live and BBC News Channel. She also reports on Six Nations Rugby.
During her time with the BBC, Sonja has covered the Olympic Games and Rugby Union World Cups.
Sonja was part of the UK Channel 4 commentary team for the London 2012 Paralympics.
