How did you get started in broadcasting?
A job in computer graphics at ITN.

Why News broadcasting?
It’s the best job in the world, and it used to pay well too.

Where else would have viewers seen or heard you before?
ITN before 1998 – general news. BBC after 1998 – Health, Home Affairs and Rome.

What is your Best on-air moment?
Not for me to say.

What is your Worst on-air moment?
No Comment.

What would you like to do before your career ends?
Africa Correspondent.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Go on holiday with my wife.

What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Never give up, unless you have no aptitude for it.

Little known fact: I programmed ITN’s live computer graphics for the 1992 election.
