How did you get started in broadcasting?
When C4News started in 82 they were looking for journos who knew a bit about science and technology and ITN didn’t have any.

Why News Broadcasting?
Because people watch it.

Where else would have viewers seen or heard you before?
nowhere.

What is your Best on-air moment?
announcing the winner of the competition to find Britain’s first astronaut.

What is your Worst on-air moment?
announcing the winner of the competition to find Britain’s first astronaut.

What would you like to do before your career ends?
Stay alive.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Appreciate fine wines (anything over £3.99 from oddbins).

What advice would you give to anyone that would like to get into the broadcasting world?
Don’t. The job is going to hell in a handcarf.
