Either Sheffield Wednesday or Huddersfield Town will book themselves into the English Football League Championship playoff final this evening.

The pair – who drew 0-0 in the first leg – will met at Hillsborough with the winner going onto meet Reading.

The Royals defeated Fulham 2-1 on aggregate. Tom Cairney and Reading’s Jordan Obita scored in the first leg on 13 May. A Yann Kermorgant penalty on the 49th was enough to see Reading through in the second leg.

Tonight’s match will be shown live on Sky Sports 3 from 7.30pm. Kick-off 7.45pm

Wednesday are now unbeaten in eight matches against Huddersfield in all competitions, and Huddersfield have now failed to score a goal in all three matches (including play-offs) against the Owls this season.

Highlights of the EFL play-offs will be shown on Channel 5’s ‘Football on 5: We’re On Our Way to Wembley’ from 11.05pm on Thursday evening.

The EFL Championship final will be held at Wembley on Monday 29th May 2017.
