Royal Ascot 2016 – Gold Cup Day – Live TV Coverage on Channel 4 Racing

Day three of Royal Ascot 2016 takes place this afternoon with live coverage on Channel 4.

Clare Balding and Nick Luck present live coverage of the five-day festival, with the Gold Cup being today’s featured race.

First ran in 1807, the Gold Cup is the feature race on Ladies Day – the third and traditionally the busiest day of Royal Ascot.

In 2013 Elizabeth II became the first reigning monarch to win the Gold Cup when her filly Estimate raced to victory.

Live coverage starts at 1.40pm on Channel 4 and Channel 4 HD. The Morning Line is on the same channel from 8am, and there’s a highlights programme looking back on the day’s racing action at 12.40am (Fri morning).

Commentary and analysis comes from Simon Holt, Richard Hoiles, Graham Cunningham, Jim McGrath, Tanya Stevenson and Brian Gleeson.

Rishi Persad, Emma Spencer and Mick Fitzgerald will provide reports, and Gok Wan is on hand with fashion advice.
