Gok Wan – Fashion expert and award-winning presenter – will join Channel 4 Racing’s Royal Ascot team as the broadcaster ramps up its fashion coverage live from the prestigious five-day Royal meeting from 17th-21st June 2014.

As part of Channel 4’s major commitment to Royal Ascot, Gok will lead the broadcaster’s fashion and style coverage from the Royal meeting – famed for its elegant designer outfits and hats.

Presenting from a specially created position on Ascot’s ‘Motivator Lawn’, Gok will be joined by special guests across the week including a number of leading milliners and designers such as Philip Treacy, Jane Taylor, Caroline Charles, Suzannah Crabb, Stewart Parvin and Rachel Trevor-Morgan.

Gok has previously presented a range of leading fashion and style programmes for Channel 4 including Gok’s Fashion Fix, Gok’s Style Secrets and How to Look Good Naked. Additionally, Gina Bryce will also present a series of ‘Inside Ascot’ features – lifting the lid on the work that goes into making Royal Ascot one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events.

Channel 4 will broadcast over 30 hours of live coverage across Royal Ascot which will include all six races each day and begins at 1.40pm.

Ed Havard, Channel 4’s Head of Special Programmes and Live Events said: “Royal Ascot is one of the highlights of our year. No-one brings fashion to life like Gok and we’re delighted that he is joining Clare and the rest of the team to showcase the spectacle of this event for our audiences.”
