Sky Sports announces Live Barclays Premier League Football fixtures for 2012/13

Sky Sports has announced its live Barclays Premier League fixtures for the first four months of the 2012/13 season.

Ford Super Sunday kicks off with Wigan Athletic against the 2011/12 UEFA Champion League winners Chelsea followed by the Premier League Champions Manchester City, who take on newly-promoted Southampton.

The first Monday Night Football comes from Goodison Park as the League runners-up Manchester United take on Everton.

In total, Sky Sports will broadcast 42 live matches from August to November 2012.

Every team will be shown live on Sky Sports at least twice in the first set of live fixtures with all three newly promoted clubs shown live at least three times.

“We’re all looking forward to the start of the Premier League and we begin with a bang; Champions League winners Chelsea, Premier League Champions Manchester City and Manchester United all in our opening weekend,” said Barney Francis, Managing Director of Sky Sports.

“These selections provide our viewers with huge head-to-heads, major derbies and every team at least twice, all in the first three months of the season. We have the biggest names providing the most insightful analysis and commentary plus a wealth of unrivalled support programming. I’m sure it’ll be another fascinating football season on Sky Sports.”
