Amelia is a contestant on X Factor 2011, she was eliminated in week one but was voted back on the show in week 6.

Amelia’s brother, Lewis, talked her into auditioning for The X Factor. Amelia attends dance school and performs in an annual show every year. She also takes part in musical theatre. She is always singing around the home and owns a microphone that she uses to sing to her family. Her dad is her biggest fan. Amelia lives her life by something Lewis told her: ‘Always believe in yourself or nobody will believe in you.’

How does Amelia feel about getting to the live shows? ‘I can’t believe it, I thought Kelly was going to say no. I know I get compared to a lot of other people in the music industry but I am young and there is a lot more room for me to develop. I’m so excited I’m just going to work my socks off, I really am. To be singing to the whole country feels unbelievable, I’m so happy.’

Amelia Lily’s Song Choices:
Week one: Michael Jackson – Billie Jean
Week six: Queen – Show Must Go On
Week seven: Think – Bridget Jones
Week eight: T’Pau – China In Hand and Kelly Clarkson – Since U Been Gone
Semi-Final: Diana Ross – Ain’t No Mountain High Enough and Avril Lavinge – I’m With You

Survivor song:
Week seven: Lady Gaga – You and I

Amelia was eliminated in week one when the judges had to pick three of their four acts to continue on in the competition. Kelly picked Janet, Sophie and Misha.

Amelia was in the bottom two in week 7 and was saved by the public after the vote went to deadlock.
