Cel Spellman has been named the host of ‘The Voice UK V Room,’ the programme’s official switchover show

The broadcaster and actor, who hosts BBC Radio 1’s Sunday afternoon show and has also recently been seen in ITV drama Cold Feet as Matthew Williams, will begin hosting duties when The Voice UK starts recording its blind auditions in Manchester next week.

The V Room will bring fans all the best from backstage, as Cel interviews the all star coaching panel, consisting of will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson, Tom Jones and Gavin Rossdale, show presenter Emma Willis, and this year’s hopefuls throughout all stages of the competition.

Cel said “Hosting The Voice UK’s V Room is a very exciting prospect – as a fan of music, I’m looking forward to working with four of the best in the business, and bringing an immersive experience to the fans.”

The V Room will feature on demand across the ITV Hub and feature exclusive content on social across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and The Voice App.

The winner of The Voice UK 2017 will scoop a life-changing recording contract with music giants Polydor Records, home to global music stars Take That and Ellie Goulding, as well as the UK’s biggest breakthrough artists, including The 1975 and Years & Years.
