Chord Overstreet to return to Glee

HomeTV TalkChord Overstreet to return to Glee

Chord Overstreet will return to Glee’s McKinley High as underdog Sam Evans for a multi-episode arc beginning this December.

Overstreet’s character was introduced last season as a transfer student at McKinley, discovered by then-football captain Finn Hudson while singing Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” in the locker room. Later in the season, Sam revealed that his dad had lost his job, and that his family was living in a motel.

In episode one of season three, viewers learned that Sam and his family had moved out of the State.

Ryan Murphy, executive producer and co-creator of Glee said: “We love Chord and have always said that we wanted him back.

“So here’s an early Christmas present for all the Gleeks—Sam is coming back to McKinley, and just in time for sectionals!”

Chord added: “I had the best time on Glee and couldn’t be more excited to be returning.”

The next episode of Glee, entitled ‘Pot O’ Gold’, sees Irish foreign exchange student Rory Flanagan arrive at McKinley High, and is hosted by Brittany’s family.

Rory Flanagan is played by Damian McGinty, one of the two winners of The Glee Projects top prize of a seven-episode recurring character role on Glee.

Glee is back on 1st November on FOX and 3rd November on Sky..
