It’s week 9 on Dancing on Ice 2012 and tonight the leading two celebrities will become team captains in the “Team Challenge” task.

As they topped the leader board last week, Jorgie Porter and Matthew Wolfenden were appointed team captains earlier this week.

They had to pick teams from the remaining four celebrity skaters, with Jorgie picking Chemmy and Jennifer, while Matthew selected Andy and Chico.

The boys will be performing to the YMCA, while The girls will be skating to Spice Girls’ Spice Up Your Life.

The celebrities and their professional skaters – Chico & Jodeyne Higgins, Chemmy Alcott & Sean Rice, Jennifer Ellison & Dan Whiston, Andy Whyment & Vicky Ogden, Jorgie Porter & Matt Evers, and Matthew Wolfenden & Nina Ulanova – will also perform individually with the judges’ scores being doubled for the contestants in the winning team.

The show begins at 6:35pm on ITV1 and ITV1 HD.

First up, dancing to Crazy in Love by Beyonce, are Jorgie Porter and Matt Evers.

The second couple on the ice, performing to Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley, are Andy Whyment and Vicky Ogden.

Louie = 6.5
Robin = 7.0
Katarina = 7.0

Third on the ice, skating to Sexy And I Know It by LMFAO, are Chico and Jodeyne Higgins.

Louie = 8.5
Robin = 8.0
Katarina = 8.5

The fourth couple on the ice, dancing to Next to Me by Emeli Sande, are Chemmy Alcott and Sean Rice.

Fifth to stake, performing to Leona Lewis’ Happy, are Jennifer Ellison and Dan Whiston.

Louie = 9.0
Robin = 7.5
Katarina = 8.0
Total = 24.5

The final couple, skating to Dance With Me Tonight by Olly Murs, are Matthew Wolfenden & Nina Ulanova.

Louie = 9.5
Robin = 9.5
Katarina = 9.5
Total = 28.5 — The highest score of the season..

Both teams have now performed the Team Challenge. The judges will now choose who won the task and will have their points doubled..

Katarina picks team Jorgie, Louie choose team Matthew and Robin, with the casting vote picks team Jorgie — which means Team Jorgie win the Team Challenge.

Phillip and Christine will return in a hour’s time (9:30pm) with tonight’s results, where the two celebrities with the least number of public votes will skate again in the skate-off.

Phillip will now name the four couples going through to next week and the two couples who will have to skate again for their survival..

The couples safe and skating next week are: Matthew & Nina, Jorgie & Matt, Jennifer & Daniel and Chico & Jodeyne.

So, Andy & Vicky and Chemmy & Sean are in the bottom two and will have to skate again..

It’s now time for the judges to pick who they would like to save and see perform next week.. Katarina saves Chemmy, Robin saves Chemmy and Louie saves Chemmy.
