ITV1 will broadcast a documentary this evening about Girls Aloud and their ten years at the top.
Girls Aloud – Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh – have grown from humble beginnings as young unknowns to become five highly successful and famous women.
Ten years on from their formation on 2002’s Popstars: The Rivals, the girl band are reuniting after a three year hiatus in which they each took on solo projects.
The show will feature three distinct chapters – the definitive history of the band, the individual successes of each girls solo projects, and their reunion.
Featuring honest and frank interviews and plenty of previously unseen footage, this intimate portrait of the girls’ lives will look back over the Girls Aloud story, reminding us how it all started and how they became such an established and well-loved group.
The girls allowed cameras to follow their lives in the run-up to their big comeback this autumn, where their hectic schedule included a video shoot for their single Something New, a nerve-racking press conference, and preparations for their first live performances in over three years.
