Popstar Jessie J is the first of four superstar coaches to join BBC One’s The Voice.
Having racked up 18 global No. 1 hits and sold over two million albums and six million singles worldwide, Jessie is now using her musical experience to seek out and coach the nation’s next top vocal talent.
Since winning the acclaimed BBC Sound of 2011 poll and Brits Critics Choice for 2011 Jessie J has accumulated massive album sales, five MOBO nominations and her YouTube video Price Tag has received over 148 million views.
Jessie says: “I’m excited to be a coach, inspiration and mentor and I jumped at the opportunity as it’s all about ‘The Voice’.”
BBC One Controller Danny Cohen says: “Jessie J is going to be an amazing coach on The Voice UK. She’s a massive young star with a strong personality, and her recent MOBO nominations are testament to her musical and creative ability.”
Three more coaches will be confirmed in the next few months. The show is set to debut in Spring 2012.
