Kelly Kelly released from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)

WWE Diva Kelly Kelly has been released from the organisation today.

A statement on the company’s website reads: “WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Kelly Kelly as of today, September 28, 2012.

“WWE wishes Kelly Kelly the best in all her future endeavors.”

Kelly Kelly, real name Barbara Jean Blank, debuted on the first WWE ECW show in 2006.

She was introduced performing a striptease, which eventually became a weekly segment known as “Kelly’s Exposé.”

Kelly was drafted to the RAW brand in 2008, and then to the Smackdown brand in 2010.

She returned to Raw in 2011, and won her first WWE Divas Championship by defeating Bella on the 20 June edition of RAW.

On 6 June 2012, WWE granted Kelly some time off. She made her return to the company two months later on the 6 August episode of Raw, where she defeated Eve Torres in a singles match.

She then made an appearance at SummerSlam dancing along with other WWE Divas to “Don’t Give Up” performed live by Kevin Rudolf.
