Sky Orders Second Series of Mount Pleasant

HomeTV TalkSky Orders Second Series of Mount Pleasant

Sky 1 today announced it has recommissioned a second series of the comedy drama Mount Pleasant.

Mount Pleasant follows the life of Lisa, played by Sally Lindsay, and the day-to-day adventures she has with her husband, friends and family. Lisa is a real woman in a real marriage living in a real part of Manchester. On a daily basis Lisa had to fend off her temptress neighbour Bianca, at the same time as toying with her own emotions when sexy singleton Jack arrived in town. Lisa navigated the highs and lows with her best friends – and workmates – and also remained a loving daughter to her ever-present parents.

Sally Lindsay said: “I am beside myself with excitement to be going back to the world of Mount Pleasant and it will be an utter joy to work with all the wonderful cast and crew again, but the biggest thrill is that the audience loved it as much as we did. Hurray!”

Sarah Hooper, Series writer, commented: “I am thrilled to be working with Sky and Tiger again, and beyond excited about writing Mount Pleasant for another season. This is a total treat for me and I’m chuffed to bits that the audience have enjoyed it so much. Thanks everyone.”

The series one finale airs tonight (12th October) on Sky1 at 9pm.
