The blind auditions continue tonight, as the coaches – Jessie J, will.i.am, Danny O’Donoghue and Sir Tom Jones – continue the search to find the UK’s next great voice.
During the blind auditions, hopeful artists take to the stage while the coaches listen with their backs turned. The coaches have to base their choices on vocal ability alone.
When a coach likes what they hear, they hit a button which turns their chair to face the artist, who lands a place on that coach’s team.
But, if more than one chair turns, the power changes, and the auditionee gets to choose which superstar coach is right for them. If no coach turns, the auditionee is out of the competition.
Tonight’s auditionees are West End singer Kerry Ellis, former X Factor hopeful Heshima Thompson, David Julien, who performs O’Donoghue’s Script track ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’, Daniel Adams, Shansel Huseyin, Barbara Bryceland, James Vickery, Vince Freeman, Vince Kidd, Aleks Josh, David Faulkner, Deniece Pearson, Frances Wood and Matt & Sueleen Fletcher.
The show, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Reggie Yates, continues on BBC One and BBC One HD from 7pm tonight.
