X Factor 2012: Lucy Spraggan

Home - Entertainment - X Factor 2012: Lucy Spraggan

From: Buxton, Derbyshire
Category: Girls
Mentor: Tulisa

Lucy’s audition in Manchester in front of Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Louis and Guest Judge Mel B has been viewed on YouTube by over eleven million people. She performed her own song, Last Night, and Lucy was overwhelmed by the reaction when she got a standing ovation.

Without her guitar at Bootcamp she didn’t perform to her best, but back with her guitar for the final performance and singing her own song Tea & Toast she secured her place at Judges’ Houses where she impressed Tulisa enough to make it into her final three.

Lucy has been gigging in Sheffield for the past couple of years, selling baby portraits at the same time to make some extra money. She’s had a variety of jobs in the past – including being a demolition operative, a tour guide and a silver service waitress.

Twenty year-old Lucy confesses to being accident prone – she even got a coat hanger stuck in her eye once!

She has ‘Olly Murs’ tattooed on her right foot – she asked Olly to sing with her on The Xtra Factor and in exchange she said she’d get his name tattooed on her foot, and she did!

Lucy would love to go back in time to perform with Johnny Cash and from the modern day stars, it’s Jay-Z who she’d most like to share a stage with. She says her worst habit is being messy – she never makes her bed!
