X Factor Results 2011: Week 3 – Sami Brookes Voted Off

HomeTV TalkX Factor Results 2011: Week 3 – Sami Brookes Voted Off

Sami Brookes is the latest contestant to be booted off the X Factor.

Yesterday, Sami and the other contestants battled it out in rock week. The acts then faced the public vote for the second time this series.

After Kelly Clarkson, Professor Green and Bruno Mars performed, Dermot, the judges and the X Factor acts took to the stage for the results.

Sami Brookes and Kitty Brucknell were in the bottom two and had to sing for their survival.

Sami sang Natural born woman, while Kitty performed Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga.

Gary Barlow was first to vote and said: “Can I first just say what a sing off tonight. I mean both acts, unbelievable! This is tough, Sami that voice is undeniable but I have always found you a little bit dated. Kitty you know I am a big fan of yours and I’m excited by you….I have made a decision. The act I am sending home tonight is Sami.”

Kelly Rowland: “You know, may I just say you both are so talented, so whether it is here at X factor or it is anywhere else you both can sing and make people completley look at you just when you sing. Sami I absolutely adore you, Kitty I think you are a wonderful entertainer but the person I am sending home tonight is going to be Sami.”

Tulisa Contostavlos: “I’ve got to agree with Gary, what an amazing sing off. Two amazing performers, artists, voices but I’ve got to go with my heart so the act that I am sending home tonight is Kitty.”

Louis Walsh: “I love both girls, Kitty I love your work ethic but you’re not connecting with the public for some reason. Sami in the sing off you were incredible, you sung your heart out. I don’t know why I have two acts in the bottom two.. do I go with my head, do I go with my heart I don’t know. I’m not going to cop out and let it go to deadlock, I’ll go with my heart and the person I have to send home tonight is Sami.”
