X Factor USA had its second double elimination of the season this week, which saw two of the competition’s youngest acts voted off.
Rapper Brian “Astro” Bradley was the first of the acts to leave after it was revealed that he polled the fewest number of votes from the American public.
The rapper said he was only mad because he couldn’t see his girl who lives in California. “I will be back! I love y’all. Team Astro, Astronauts!.”
Drew and Marcus Canty were in the bottom two and had to sing for their place in next week’s show.
Marcus, who was in the bottom two last week, sang a rendition of Gladys Knight & The Pips’ Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye), while Drew performed Listen To Your Heart by Roxette.
Drew was voted off by judges Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and L.A. Reid despite Simon Cowell practically begging them to give her another chance.
Drew said: ”Jesus loves all of you guys and I haven’t gotten to say that and that’s what I’m here for and that’s what I truly was in this competition for and now I’m saying it,”
The X Factor USA continues next week with the remaining five acts performing two songs each.
